About Me
My Tiny Sleeper
Hi, I’m Steph the founder of My Tiny Sleeper, an internationally Certified Holistic Baby and Child Sleep Consultant and most importantly a proud Mum of two beautiful girls.
My journey into sleep consulting began as a personal one. Like many parents, I struggled with sleep challenges when my first child was born. Sleepless nights, endless rocking, and feeling like I was failing to meet my child’s needs created a sense of frustration and exhaustion that affected both my family and my well-being. I wanted to change something, but I didn’t want to resort to methods that didn’t align with my values of nurturing, empathy, and connection.

Our FAQs
frequently asked questions
No. My approach is holistic and responsive — I’ll never ask you to ignore your child’s needs. Instead, I focus on gentle strategies that support emotional connection and respect both parent and baby.
Little one’s are wired to seek connection, and as a mother and professional, I deeply understand the importance of attachment. My approach always honours that. I advocate for strong, secure bonds and tailor my methods to each family, always seeing your little one as a whole person.
True attachment isn’t about whether you breastfeed or co-sleep—it’s about being responsive: tuned in, emotionally available, and meeting your child’s needs. Even if you sometimes feel touched out, irritable, or stretched thin (as all parents do), this doesn’t mean you’re harming your attachment. In fact, healthy sleep supports attachment by allowing caregivers to be more present, patient, and emotionally connected.
Crying is a normal and healthy way for infants to communicate and regulate emotions. While I always work to minimise tears, it’s important to remember that crying itself is not harmful.
Concerns about stress hormones such as cortisol are common, but evidence consistently shows that responsive caregiving is the key factor in healthy development.
When sleep support is implemented with attunement, care, love and responsiveness, it does not harm infants; not only are they feeling safe, it supports secure attachment and promotes positive emotional and developmental outcomes.
I can support families with newborns through to 5 years old. The approach will look different depending on your child’s age, but it will always be developmentally appropriate.
That’s absolutely okay! I understand that no two families look the same. Together we’ll create a plan that fits your unique circumstances and lifestyle.
Every child and family is unique. Some families notice positive changes within a few days, while others may take a little longer as we gently adjust routines. My role is to guide and support you through the process at a pace that feels right.
That’s a common story. Many “one-size-fits-all” programs overlook the individual child and family. My support is personalised, flexible, and designed to meet you where you are — no cookie-cutter plans here.
Yes. You can add on extra weeks of support or book follow-up calls if you’d like more guidance as your child grows or your family’s needs change.
Absolutely. Sleep challenges with twins or multiple children can feel overwhelming, but I’ll work with you to find strategies that support the whole family.
Not at all. It’s never too late to make positive changes. Toddlers and preschoolers can thrive with gentle structure and support.
You’ll receive a detailed questionnaire so I can learn more about your child and family. From there, we’ll set up our consultation and begin creating your tailored sleep plan together.
No — I support families worldwide via phone and Zoom. Wherever you are, you can access personalised guidance and support.
Change can feel uncomfortable because our brains are wired to seek safety, often by sticking with what’s familiar. Tears or fussiness during transitions don’t mean something is wrong—they simply signal that something is new.
With a supportive, structured plan, my approach helps your little one move toward healthier, sustainable sleep habits. While your baby may cry at first, this is not “cry it out” (CIO) - you’ll be there every step of the way, guiding and comforting them through the change.
This transition is a game changer—supporting emotional, physical, and developmental well-being – not only for your little one but for your family too.
It’s common for parents to feel discomfort when their child cries. This is a natural, biological response, as humans are wired to react strongly to distress in order to protect and nurture their young.
However, if you feel an urge to silence your child’s negative emotions quickly, it may help to reflect on what underlies that reaction—whether it’s past experiences, external influences, or unresolved feelings. Research shows that children thrive when all emotions are validated. Allowing them to express emotions, within the context of consistent boundaries and loving guidance, is key to healthy emotional regulation and secure attachment.
Our approach is designed to minimise unnecessary upset while providing ongoing support. As your child adapts and begins to experience more restorative sleep, parents typically feel more confident, and children benefit emotionally, physically, and developmentally.
